DramaBox works like a free-to-play game applied to TV: you install for free, watch the opening episodes of any series, and hit a paywall right after a cliffhanger. From there you choose between waiting and watching ads, spending coins on individual episodes, or subscribing to a membership that unlocks most of the catalog.

DramaBox coins are an in-app currency bought in packs and spent per episode; bonus coins come from tasks, daily check-ins and ads. A DramaBox membership is an auto-renewing subscription that unlocks most of the catalog. Per the App Store listing, it renews unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the period ends. The developer itself recommends it for heavy viewers: "we recommend the subscription rather than coins. A subscription will unlock all dramas on our app, not just one drama."
