Yes. FlexTV's App Store listing includes an Apple TV app requiring tvOS 15.0 or later. FlexTV (App Store id1645515419; Android com.aytech.flextv, 10M+ installs) lists a $29.99 weekly and $49.99 monthly plan in the US, among the highest prices in the category. FlexTV has no partner link on our site, and web access is reported but unverified.

DramaBox on TV is a workaround, not a lean-back experience: there's no remote-control interface, video stays vertical and ads are mirrored too. DramaBox discloses advertising in both stores, and users complain about interactive ads that are hard to close, which is more awkward on a big screen. If you mostly want to watch DramaBox, the phone is still the best screen for it.

Can NetShort and Sereal+ be watched on TV?
Yes, through their web players: NetShort on netshort.com and Sereal+ on sereal.com, cast from a browser. NetShort also supports iPad, which gives a larger screen without a TV. Sereal+ mixes Korean, Japanese and Southeast Asian dramas, but its iOS app hasn't been updated since July 2025.

What does a vertical drama look like on a TV?
A 9:16 vertical drama fills only about 32% of a 16:9 TV's width, leaving roughly two-thirds of the screen as black side bars. That is a TopDrama.app calculation: (9/16) ÷ (16/9) = 81/256 ≈ 31.6%. The picture uses the TV's full height, so it is still larger than a phone, just narrow.

Can I remove the black bars?
No: zooming a 9:16 video to fill a 16:9 screen would crop away most of the picture, including faces and subtitles. Accept the bars, or rotate a portable monitor if you have one. Short dramas are framed for phones, so dialogue and subtitles sit in the centre of the vertical frame.

Why is my mirrored drama laggy or silent?
Lag and missing sound usually come from weak Wi-Fi or the phone and TV being on different networks. Put both on the same 5 GHz network if available, move the router closer, close other apps, and restart mirroring. If it persists, switch to the laptop + HDMI route.
Does watching on TV need a separate subscription?
