TopDrama.app publishes a monthly report on short drama apps. Each edition is based on our own snapshot of US App Store and Google Play data for 16 apps, including DramaBox, ReelShort, ShortMax, NetShort and GoodShort. Every edition is compared with the previous snapshot and adds dated context on prices, regulation and analyst figures.

Short drama apps in September 2026 (published 30 Sep 2026): DramaBox leads with 864,598 App Store ratings, which is 35% of the tracked set. NetShort grew fastest (+3.8% in four days), 10 of 14 iOS apps shipped updates, and NRTA Order No. 16 came into force on 1 September.

How the reports are made
Each report uses public store data collected on a fixed date, never estimates. Ratings, rating counts, versions and release dates come from Apple's public lookup service for the US storefront, one request per app. Google Play ratings, review counts and installs come from each app's US listing. Market figures such as revenue and downloads are quoted from named analysts, such as Sensor Tower and Media Partners Asia, with their publication dates.
